Ever wondered what a test card is for? TV signals are encoded in the YUV or YCbCr color spaces. A vectorscope is just the CbCr or UV part of the signal in 2D. Running a SMTPE test card through the scope gives you a zigzag pattern where it visits the center of each primary box in a specific order.

One point to note is that everyone has 83 days to enrol or update their details. The 3 day deadline is for people wishing to change their enrolment between Māori and General rolls. New voters or people moving house can still enrol or update on the Māori roll.

I have a question. Why does the Măori roll close so much earlier than the general roll? Is there a logistical reason for that?

Does anyone happen to have a copy of Blendy’s sock book (the first one?) I brought my current project away with me, but left my copy at home. I will ask the house sitter if she can see it, but I’m not sure if a) I know exactly where it is and b) if she knits and would understand my photo request…

I signed up to do a piece for a local art exhibition and I was getting very stressed out because I thought I had to drop my work off today... and I haven't started it yet because life is like that sometimes. Anyway, the good news is I have until Wednesday, but I'm going to try to harness the stress.

Decisions have been made… while the Greytown market is still happening today, the forecast has been getting progressively worse. Being in a gazebo when it’s raining for a spell is one thing, but when it’s persisting down for hours in winter with increasing wind speeds forecast… We’re staying home.

You all OK in the central North Island? Was just a wee friendly wobble down here, but geonet says big in Taumaranui.

Regrets, I have a few But then again, it’s time for dinner… (Hopefully eating will make the rest of this task less Herculean.)

I haven't turned my electric blanket on yet because I was going to change my sheets and this also means that maybe I haven't turned the heater on in my room either... and I may have regrets. I thought I was going toto finally finish my new jeans tonight. But somehow I managed to crumple the back of the second button. So I have to go buy another one before I can wear them. Which is a pity, because they fit so well, even if they have sorely tested my faith in my own sewing abilities.

I totally forgot to share this on Monday. This gull in Pito One so pleased with themself for picking up some takeaways. They were picking it up and carrying it around the KMart carpark (a few blocks from Maccas).
