Actually more cheerful than my online presence would suggest. I post a lot about my hair and my search for miracle potions. And TV. Lots of TV. A bit of football stuff. I'm not very deep.

Just ploughed through a Reddit thread of people arguing about whether Agas are good or bad (dunno why, I'm not thinking of getting one) and I'm crying in menopause at the thought of having an always-on heating source but I'm also dying to try Aga toast.

The Great House Giveaway is a bit of a swizz because the participants don't set the buying price, or renovation budget or the sales price and they don't have much say in the house they buy and after 6mths work they are lucky to break even but omg when they both hate each other it is TV gold.

On insta a woman has done a reel showing a horrible comment (involving dying alone with cobwebs on her pissflaps) from a man in response to something she'd previously said regarding male violence against women & girls. She very ably showed him to be a pathetic loser. Good for her. Interestingly...

Just accidentally caught the first 5 minutes of a C5 programme with Josie Gibson about to embark on a 1970s style diet to see why people were thinner then. Quickly switched off so maybe they'll mention how everybody smoked? Or the "diet pills" we might know today as speed?

I contacted the electoral commission after the last GE because I don't believe my "local" Reform candidate was a real person. No online presence at all, not present at vote count and my MP was suspicious too. Anyway, the EC told me that there is absolutely no vetting and they take it all on trust.

Don’t read this list of all the candidates in the Clacton by-election and definitely don’t visit their websites, that’s my advice, I am now mildly traumatised and in some cases concerned for their mental health (I’m not talking about Farage) www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Do non-Europeans get just how fucked the Infantino/FIFA thing is if actual UEFA are going "hold on lads, this isn't a good look. You don't want people thinking you're all about the money". Like, UEFA being the moral guardian?

Interesting this. If even the gullible Guardian is sceptical then it doesn't bode well. But what strikes me though with a lot of these people with - literally - incredible backstories is their actual, undeniable backstory is impressive enough. Why the embellishment?

Playbooks, plagiarism and a pig’s head: new claims surrounding a star Cambridge professor

Jason Arday was regarded as an academic superstar, but then questions about his work prompted scrutiny of his backstory and counterclaims of racism

All I will say is my nan was 95 when she died. Non-smoker, pretty much a pescatarian diet, and her "regime" was clean face/Ponds cold cream and she had fantastic skin. Pretty sure she never wore SPF until the 90s (although she did wear sunhats).

Skincare staple or expensive gimmick: do you really need an LED face mask?

They promise clearer, younger-looking skin, but is your money better spent elsewhere? Dermatologists and experts weigh in
