A few weeks ago, one of the neighbors at my office had a crate delivery. The side said “Longway Construction” but, because the crate was half in, half out of their loading doors, all that was visible from our back door was “LONG CON” And I wish I had taken a picture. What an apt metaphor.

Just finished Adventures of Elliot and I gotta say, that was an absolutely charming game. I think some quality of life changes would really help in making it feel like it respects my time but it’s another win for the team behind Octopath Traveler!

I can’t tell you how free it feels to not care at all about GTAVI. I know y’all care and that’s great but not having to be a part of that mad rush to preorder and clear my schedule for release is really nice.

Feeling the need to develop a toolset strictly designed to replace the best of what humanity has going for it that also destroys the natural resources humanity needs & is already running short on & forcing it on humanity (who wants nothing to do with it) is the absolute worst of humanity. I hate AI.

I gotta say, I know there’s a lot going on between the Epstein Files, the World Cup, Iran, threats to @doublefine.com and other XBox-owned indie studios, and the reflecting pool but the lack of chatter about the season finale of Widows Bay tonight is alarming.

If there was any question about what kind of person I am, I just washed down my sleep meds with a 20 oz Red Bull. Hey @redbull.com , I really think this kind of behavior warrants a sponsorship. Goofy races, gaming, legit sports are covered. How about competitive sleeping?

Sometimes, you want to see people lose big but you don’t have the authority to do it and aren’t even sure it should be done. When in that predicament, it might be wise to give them enough rope that they do it themselves. I’m hoping that’s the case. I swear this isn’t about politics in any way.

In the last month, I platinumed Pragmata which was great, Mouse PI for Hire which would be better with some quality of life updates, Vampire Crawlers which was somehow just as addictive as its predecessor, and now I’m on to South of Midnight. It’s a good time to be a gamer.

In Lake Forest, CA, the gas was $6.50 a gallon this morning. $55 got me a little over 8 gallons where it got me almost 12 gallons this time last year. I would love to see a thread where everyone calls out how much they pay at the pump compared to a year ago.

I’m about 2/3 of the way through Mouse PI and I’m not loving it for three reasons. 1) it overstays its welcome by a lot 2) it’s missing major quality of life stuff like the ability to revisit previous locations, select locations off a list, keep track of thing (how many side quests have I completed)

@awintory.bsky.social dude, congrats on the win. I played the game for the first time last week. My wife watched a while and said “this is beautiful. And the music…” It was a pleasure to see her light up when I told her it was your handiwork and now she wants to pepper you with even more questions.

One of my favorite things to do when my wife is on the brink of sleep is kick the edge of the bed once, then bounce my hand up to her so she thinks it’s one of the cats and reaches out to pull them in. She thinks it’s an asshole move. I think it’s a cute way to hold her hand before she drifts off.
