Writer (unpublished), Egyptologist (unfinished), migraine (continuous), human (probably). Extra-large liminal space. Always add marinara. He/him. Profile thingy is a penglion by HumanDescent. No longer 1.026 TV's Jack Reachers tall.

"I want to do (thing). Here is one example of what (thing) might look like." Note that I did *not* say, "Here is the totality of what (thing) entails." People who suspect (thing) might be more extensive than (example) are not displaying poor reading comprehension.

In the Late Period, Egyptian Pharaohs began granting tax exemptions to the temples, especially the Temple of Amun, already almost as wealthy and powerful as Pharaoh himself. Eventually the country was half ruled by the Temple. And then in 525 BCE the Persians found Egypt an easy conquest.

FLAG: Trump gets to keep tax immunity for himself, his sons, and the Trump Organization under the new 'deal' struck by Todd Blanche. The new order also reaffirms that Trump won't have to pay any taxes he might have owed the IRS.

LRP: Indeed... but the person is quoting the New York Times, where information about preexisting conditions is absolutely used to blame the victims and excuse death, and spread the belief that there is a mythical "healthy" which protects from harm, and an "unhealthy" which is a moral failing.

One of the more frustrating legacies of 2020 is the idea that reporting risk factors for mortality is somehow always a slight against disabled and chronically ill people, as opposed to an essential piece of information for people in that category to assess their risk before *or after* they get sick

Breaking News: Two deaths in Michigan have been linked to cyclospora. Both people who had the parasite also had underlying health issues.

I’m astonished by the ability of my fellow humans to forget the events we all just lived through. Folks remember the masks and the remote school. The million US dead are rarely mentioned. Folks, we lived through a plague.

Ah, August, no. 2 on my list of Months I Want to Stab. No. 1 is July. July and August are as bad as each other, but I was born in July, so maybe if I stab it enough times I can reset something. Or at least get warranty service.

I'm finally trying to watch Thunderbolts, the Marvel movie, and there's this four-way fight scene with four people in black costumes all trying to kill each other in a dark grey room, and... they should pick a lane. Either make them distinct, or go all the way and make them completely identical.

There comes a time when anyone who wishes people to believe his past bigoted remarks were mistakes of youth either figuratively or literally retreats to a mountaintop hermitage for some serious introspection, or does this shit. Either way, you now know who they are.

This may be true of others but I actually got express permission from the trans community to keep NYT games and recipes. I also have a news subscription, which is arguably worse, so I had to specifically send in a written request. Took 30 days but I got approved.

Anyone up to starting a blocklist for people who used to be scientists but now use "AI"? I don't want to accidentally ingest false knowledge from someone who effectively threw gasoline on the world-fire and then sacrificed a goat and consulted the entrails.

Folks, I think we should be a lot more worried that an establishment-endorsed Democrat is using essentially Nazi terminology while James Clyburn smiles and laughs. "Coastal elites" = "rootless cosmopolitan," both used to mean Jewish people. First Platner, now this. Not a good sign.

"Cool kids on the Internet. They're doing the cool kid chatter. Some of 'em might be the coastal elites, making fun of how I talk. But let's be real. They're making fun of Michigan. They're thinking they're better than us. Their jokes, their criticism, only make me fight harder." -- Haley Stevens

People saying he was humiliated need to find a copy of Threylax's Guide to Human Expressions for Visiting Extraterrestrials. He's enjoying himself. This isn't a shaming, it's a retelling of his exploits. And the journalists arev all happy to be there to share it with him.

Remarkable camera angle of President Trump as he listens to Wall Street Journal reporters receiving an award for their investigation into Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein — which they pursued despite Trump’s threats and lawsuit.
