Anyways, tl;dr Game Pass failed because of Fortnite (and other black hole games) and the mass market just not caring about playing lots of different games.

Big misconception I'm seeing is that the decision to go all digital reflects a company thinking that players do not care about physical. This isn't true. Everyone knows a physical player base exists. The choice to go all digital reflects a belief that this is not a market worth keeping or growing.

With PS6 being all digital @blessingjr.bsky.social may have had a point about not trading your PS5 in to upgrade as your ps5 will be your only way to play your ps5/ps4 physical edition now.
