Not a joke: watching docuseries like Air Crash Investigation also helps with this, because you realize that every crash 1) is the result of multiple factors coinciding, and 2) leads to modifications that make the situation unlikely ever to repeat.

An hour of dead air is definitely a broadcasting choice. Could have had broadcasters educating the public on the players or the league or the rules or literally anything. It’s rough.
