Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the WH made it clear to the Dodgers if they didn't come visit there might be trouble with some players Visas. Also wouldn't be surprised if most of the American players see no problem with this. Not a fun day either way to be a fan of this team.

I ask as always: What were these mythical "third places that previous generations had available to them?" The whole idea of "third places" is just so much Camelot mythmaking.

Actual good news from the Dodgers? Guggenheim divested from GEO Group, a company working with ICE. And the Dodgers followed through on their pledge of assistance? Kudos to everyone who made good trouble in this matter.

Dodgers fulfill $1-million pledge in response to ICE raids, owners divest from prison group

The Dodgers followed through on a pledge made a year ago, donating $1.1 million to two foundations supporting those impacted by immigration raids in the Southland.

The whole Compulsion Games situation fucking sucks man. They were put in such a tough situation and still made one of the most original ideas to come out of a bigger size team in a long, long time. Only for them to get put in the wood chipper.

Huh...maybe we should talk more about celebs who have chosen to live unsustainably to their income. so they start podcasting, but that doesn't go well either. But one day a buddy of yours who grifts online tells you how much he makes. But that's just me speculating.

Every so often, some washed up sitcom dude do this sort of thing where they pretend that they made some truly edgy and controversial comedy that couldn't be made today, and it's just like... you're saying this about THE OFFICE?

controversial statement; this has far less to do with engine tech and for more to do with what skills are more easily trainable in a broad population. Technical parameterized realism is one of the easiest things to systematize so the labor market for realism is much deeper with lots of documentation

my one big takeaway from this years pile of Showcases is that Unreal Engine 5 has co-opted or sort of, I dare say, polluted the visual language of games, where nothing stands out theres a kind of mediocrity that comes with being "photorealistic I guess". PBR substance everywhere, but not distinct
