so is David Sibley @davidsibley.org the first Jeopardy! @jeopardyofficial.bsky.social champion to be elected Bishop? They'll have to change his picture and the word that says PRIEST in the commercial trying to get us all to take the anytime test

Actually I like nearly all of them, but I think I'm team Victoria.
Well I mean also, you used to learn this by living at a seminary and participating in 3 liturgies a day playing every role you canonically could, and thus having to apply the calendar categories and rules yourself multiple times a week.
One would think that more seminary professors than just me are neurodivergent enough to devote a whole class period to explaining the categories of feast days and the rules of precedence.
This morning during my sermon, an entire division or perhaps several divisions of the organ suddenly ciphered. It sounded like cats running across the keyboard at full volume.

This is a fantastic sermon. Episcopalians need more preachers like Rob: at ease, full of speakers' craft but feeling relaxed and authentic, linking easily with life stories and contemporary attitudes, and invested in the core Christian message. Stop waiting for the paperwork; just pass the fire.
Our intern Rob Long is a former screenwriter and radio commentator, and he preached an absolute banger of a sermon today. The first 30 seconds are cut off, but he starts by describing Easter in Jerusalem. Give it a watch. You won’t regret it. www.youtube.com/live/9xmyzYn...

Heck, half the time they don't even bother to put a sign up! If there's no sign, it's almost always Catholic. "St. Francis de Sales has been there since 1883 everybody knows what it is come on" "Insta says it should be Ascend City now" "Yeah right, Mass is at 11 bub"
This is why I like Catholics! They plant a church and slap "St Mary's Catholic Church" on the sign and call it a day haha 🕯
Marking four years since Russia invaded Ukraine, U2 have released a documentary short film for "Yours Eternally" by director Ilya Mikhaylus. It is available now: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p92N...
Greatest thing I've ever seen happen on Jeopardy! maybe, literally screamed at the TV in shock
nobody posted the clip anywhere so i went and dug the whole episode up
I would definitely be in for this "vote them off the island" Reverse Lent Madness. The obsession with adding more and more people to the calendar is weird.
Mostly joking but semi-serious proposal that we invent "Reverse Lent Madness" and use it to vote people off the Episcopal calendar since are narrowly approaching "every day is a feast day!" territory... There are apparently a few dozen more in the works to come to General Convention 2027...
this is an absolutely pristine take, 100 percent correct
Missa de Sancta Maria Magdalena is the best English language mass ordinary ever written, as far as I'm concerned.
A great day to #touchpews. "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light... the yoke of their burden, the rod of their oppressor, you have broken." 🕯️#tec
Arrests calmly ongoing. This is going to take a while. There are a lot of clergy risking arrest.
As clergy pray, arrests begin

Also, if you've never read or listened to this sermon by Mtr. Erika Takacs about the WORD chord, now's a great time. #9lc #wat www.saintmarksphiladelphia.org/sermons/2015...

A few weeks ago a friend of mine who is a church organist posted a photo on Facebook of her preparations for Christmas. Not surprisingly, it was a picture of a musical score, an arrangement of a hymn,...

**referred to in this way by a woman older than me (I am retired)
It blows me away that a 53-year-old woman is referred to as *the future of our church* in a recent prominent article. Folks, pretty sure that’s the present of our church. ⚓️
