One of my favorite things to do is - when I notice product images that are SO CLEARLY AI at convention shops - ask the owner who the artist is they used for it. “I’m not sure, I’d have to go back and check” - sure man; I remember everyone *I* commissioned. “Oh it’s AI.” - Really? That’s so sad tbh

If I see that you are posting or reposting gen AI content I'm unlikely to say anything but I will immediately lose interest in striking up any kind of conversation, friendship, or working relationship. And I know I'm not the only one.

I developed psoriatic arthritis when I was 20. I worked 12-hour shifts in bars up in Fort McMurray over summer breaks to pay for my education. I needed a cane 15 years before I transitioned because I decided to sell my already breaking body to capitalism while I had the chance. Simple as.
Casey Explosion@caseyexplosion.bsky.social · 2d agoThere was a mass disabling event in recent history that could cause long term health issues including but not limited to mobility, recent studies showed that nearly half of those diagnosed with Long Covid have suffered mobility and balance deterioration. I imagine some may need mobility aids.
My advice that I give to any artist especially ones starting out: Keep ALL your drawings. Never toss anything out. Those are precious milestones against which you can measure your personal progress. Your old art is also a well of inspiration to revisit later in your journey. Cherish it
