Encourage people to donate directly on ko-fi, PayPal, or Patreon. Stop subscribing. Cancel your turbo! Cancel your primes! Take twitch out of the creator to community support loop until they straighten up and fly right. Deny them their cut as much as possible. Hunt their C suite with a spear.

ESP custom

Here's a picture of three ESP guitars hanging from a rack that was taken during what looks like a Japanese trade show. We're not gonna talk about the Flying V on the right or the double-cutaway electric on the left, though. We're gonna talk about the one in the middle.

The Alfee is a Japanese rock band that's been around since the 1970s. Their lead guitarist and frontman, Toshihiko Takamizawa, is known for the intricately carved, angel-themed guitars that ESP makes for him. I've posted a couple before, but this is the wildest one I've seen.

It's a double-cutaway guitar, and the two horns are actually carved angel wings that stretch all the way out to the middle of the headstock. This gives really good access to the high frets, but that advantage is taken away by the head that comes out of the body where the neck pickup would normally be. (At least the expression on its face looks happy with the whole being-a-guitar thing.) The head and wings taper down to a symmetrical shield shape, where the humbucker and Floyd Rose are. Two smaller wings come out of each side of the body, and there are two hands coming out of the end. Each hand is holding a dagger that sticks out, and they cross a few inches from the end of the body. To top it off, the 6-in-line headstock is scrolled at the end.

I only know of two people in this world that could get away with playing a guitar like this: Takamizawa and Bluesky's own Krystal Swords.

When asked how it’s been for him to see the series transform since its indie beginnings way back in 1981 with director Sam Raimi, Campbell revealed his one issue with the recent installments.

“I’d like more humor back in. The three features have been mostly humorless, and I personally have a problem with that,” he said, echoing a sentiment shared among some of the franchise’s fans. “There’s no point for these to get too grim. You can be scary without being grim.”

“A little more humor wouldn’t kill you,” he added. “And one hero that you really can root for. Ash is an idiot, but you want him to survive.”

“Modern filmmakers love to color their movies like a David Fincher movie, like a hospital room, you know?” Campbell continued. “Gray-green, like a garage. Garage lighting. And so, okay, it’s a choice. It’s not mine. I think even a horror movie can look pretty. Why not throw them off? Make it all look pretty and wonderful, and then let them have it.”

It took a random Reddit poster in this week's r/ukpolitics "weekly Rumours, Speculation, Questions, and Reaction megathread" to fact check a story that the British and American press and me and you and everyone we know deeply wanted to believe was true:
First of all, this happened years ago. The consultation was in 2018, the cable was laid starting in 2022, it was tested at the end of 2024, and it's been in use since the start of 2025.
The cable wasn't dug into the top of the beach, it was drilled horizontally underground (point 7 here). This has evidently been the case since at least October 2018, and from what I can tell the route under the beach did not change between then and October 2021 when it was finalised.
