I recently got to look at the shelves of a very private person, someone I have known a while but didn't really *know*... The person I saw on those shelves was someone for whom I felt an instant kinship, a desire to offer friendship. If there were a word for that kind of love...? I fall in it.
DON'T WEAR THE EATING DISORDER SURVEILLANCE JEWELRY
“The company describes it as a wearable designed to automatically understand eating behaviour, reducing the need for users to record every meal themselves.”
This lil world is a fun distraction after this day of every single emotion (eat shit zuxk) xoxo
TYSM for the good vibes, you guys did it Super surprisingly great interview! Actually a pretty good way to head into this afternoon's hard stuff later. Anyway, you're the best, I hope you, personally, have a surprisingly good day 💙
Almost every young woman academic I know (including myself) has been targeted and belittled, sexually or otherwise, at some point by a higher-ranking man. After the state of the job market, it’s probably the number two thing I warn prospective grad students about.
UW-Madison professor engages in multiple sexual relationships with students, disparages another over their sexual orientation and appearance, creates hostile environment, and department leadership covers it all up. And in true “pass the trash” fashion, moves on to ASU once forced to resign.
I know how selfish this is but this afternoon is going to be so hard. Going to be w/my mom for lap of love vet to come for her kitty, who's her only company now. It's less than 2 weeks since the 2 year anniversary of losing my Dad. It already hurts my heart thinking of how hard this is for her
Let me say as loudly as I can to all the Europeans on here who have been rightly appalled watching the Trump regime’s third-country removals: Your government has been watching, too, and they like what they see.

Saw loads of blokes with kilts on yesterday, but I kept getting trodden on when I tried to see what they had under their kilts.
It's Janmashtami tomorrow! TIME FOR LIL ROLLY POLLY BABIES DRESSED AS KRISHNA 🥰

Watching animals eat is like my biology crack. I don’t need it, I don’t have to do it, I don’t even always like it, but there’s just something about critters noshing on one another that leaves me gobsmacked. And nothing does it like the comb jelly Beroe [Thread 🧵] 📽️ www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xkN...
Me all week: hey, Mom, how's everything going, everything okay? Hey, Ma, what's going on <leaves me on read 4x> Her today: at the vet with (her cat), probably time to make the hard call, it's okay you've been busy, don't worry about me

"If something is there, you can only see it with your eyes open, but if it isn't there, you can see it just as well with your eyes closed. That's why imaginary things are often easier to see than real ones."
People saying Emanuel doesn't have a prayer of being president: I would tend to agree, but I have heard this reasonably and earnestly said about people who then became president, so I think staying riled up in opposition is important.
Congrats to everyone in corporate America on the funniest day of watching your coworkers try to bullshit their way through meetings you've had in quite sometime

Workers are producing more than ever and keeping less of it than at any point in nearly 80 years…
when you believe in UBI, it's hard to think "wow that disabled person isn't trying hard enough to work" maybe they shouldn't HAVE to work. maybe they should have a role in society that's safe, comfortable, & "productive" in their own way (incl making art, having meaningful convos, learning stuff)
