I was off on a long(ish) jaunt y’day - a rural church ruin and an auld cemetery. 29 degrees so I thought I’d tank up on fluids first at the nearest village Spotted the half hidden sign As I hadn’t even been to the cemetery Wondered if someone knew Something I didn’t or Maybe I had peaked too soon 👀

As of around 3 hours ago, I’ve been unable to originate my own posts with images. I can reply to people and include images in the reply. I’ve tried shutting down Skeets, logging off and back on again but still no. This is just a test really. I want to see if I can post with just plain text.

More from Kainnaird Head. Scotlands first official lighthouse that’s now the Scottish Lighthouse Museum. It was built on part of an old castle. The dinky lighthouse is what replaced it. They now, at last have funding to repair the buildings that were trashed by Storm Arwen and included their cafe.

Love this romantic image of the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Kildwick. The Alexander Keighley photograph is dated 1931 He was born in the town that carries his name in 1861 and was influenced by the work of Henry Peach Robinson, the pioneering "pictorialist" photographer.

Alexander Keighley (1861–1947) was a pioneering British amateur photographer and a leading figure of the Pictorialist movement, which fought to have photography recognised as a legitimate form of fine art rather than a purely mechanical process. Based in Yorkshire, he balanced a successful career as a textile mill director with an internationally acclaimed artistic output, becoming one of the most influential "club photographers" of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
