this creates systemic risks to be hosted on codeberg because the detection, enforcement, and similar mechanisms on it are extremely unclear. i wish people would think through the implications of policies beyond "it gets one over the people i don't like in the culture war".

I started the podcast, because I actually think we are already doing all the things we need to do. We just need to scale them up by nudging people away from Amazon and towards the weird food coop in their town.

I host a podcast where I interview people running organizations like this. It's called Future Mending Radio and I have profiled food and tech coops, pay what you can restaurants, public parks, clothing swaps, and more.

This is why I think we have to open more businesses and coops with an ethical charter, to redirect flows of money from the worst global mega-corps into versions of community and mutual aid. The scale of the economy is way too vast to not engage on that terrain. We need assets and property.

having used claude extensively for the past couple of months, i think there is still a lot of value to understanding your code and steering it intentionally. the amount of incidental complexity claude accumulates otherwise (which mostly results in bugs that it can't ever fix reliably) is staggering.
