Local officials are opening cooling centers to provide relief for residents looking to escape the heat, as temperatures rise and extreme heat can pose serious health risks.

Providence EMA: We rely on community libraries to also serve as the cooling centers. Also, the communities libraries have limited hours, especially Friday and the holiday weekend. 🤷
