To be clear: A) Rapids did provide Lucas tonight. B) Peter & Ryan were very supportive comms at the All-Star game. The message here for Rapids and other MLS clubs is to empower your local storytellers and they will reward you with human storytelling. In a sea of hot takes, that’s gold.
You could tell the players knew. They circled around after the game, sprayed him with water then had him salute the crowd a few times. It definitely had send off vibes.
Obviously a lot of reporting today about the possibility of Lucas Herrington being moved onto Hull City for what could be a massive fee. The Colorado Rapids don't play again until August 15.

Denver Summit FC has signed England international center back Gemma Bonner from Liverpool. She’s Liverpool’s all-time appearance leader. Played for and won 2 FA Cups and a WSL title with Nick Cushing at Man City. She’s got NWSL experience, too. Deal through the end of the year.
Can’t imagine this isn’t accurate, but think this would be a great landing spot for Lucas Herrington if something gets done. Shallow position at Hull currently. If he gets minutes, it’s against top of the line competition without top of the line expectations.

RMSJ can confirm @tombogert.bsky.social's report that the Colorado Rapids are finalizing a deal to sign Youssef Maziz from Belgian Pro League's OH Leuven. As reported, free agent TAM signing. Matt Wells said earlier this month the team is looking to bring in TWO attackers this window.
