What a fantastic day hiking in the Cheviot Hills and then exploring an 11th-century church and castle ruins unexpectedly on the way back to the cottage. It'll be difficult one to top!
Has anyone got experience going through the conseil en évolution professionnelle here in France? Was it useful? I'm thinking of getting the ball rolling but the only thing I know is that I don't want to do what I'm doing any more.
Husband went for a run first thing and found an abandoned campfire still burning and beginning to spread. He tried to put it out using water from the river but had to call the pompiers. Why are people so stupid? We literally have smoke overhead from Fontainebleau right now.
I don't feel comfortable applying for jobs if there's a criterion I don't meet. I'd feel like a fraud. And why list it if it isn't really required? But apparently a lot of people just apply anyway 🤯 I need to somehow develop the brazen unearned confidence to do this.

After an enforced break due to a bereavement, I have come to realise that I'm basically done with freelance translation and proofreading. The uncertainty and drop in turnover is too much now and I need to accept that fact and focus on where I go from here instead of clinging on.
