I'm having wifi issues and for 16 hours, I did not have any updates on how fucked up the timeline is. (Checked the local news and it was.... really useless.) Knowledge may be power, but ignorance is bliss (or at least less awful.

OOOOOF. Search engines manipulating the same instinct as disinformation sites. A lot of people who crave more info don't assess what's fed them with any skepticism; their minds are like open nestling beaks that swallow whatever is dropped in, whether it's slop or outright poison.

Anyone else find their brain glitching when "complementary" is used instead of "complimentary", as it tries to find a way to interpret as writen?
I've noticed swipe-correct has gotten much, much worse in the past year or so, even changing typed-out words' spelling. It seems to be a symptom of AI enshittification. I'm anticipating we'll eventually see phrases like "for all intents and purposes" being 'corrected' to common incorrect versions.

Trump's terror campaign against immigrants/ non-white people makes this sort of exploitation easier. And that's part of the purpose: a disenfranchised, dehumanized labor caste can't go to police, OSHA, or anyone else to report blatant abuse.

One woman I met was kidnapped, raped and nearly killed. I wanted to know: How do I tell if the produce I buy is part of the problem? 👇
