Dr Sara Stoneham has been appointed the Specialty Lead for Rare Cancers by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The position was created under the Rare Cancers Act, which enshrined in law commitments to improve research, access to clinical trials and pathways to drug approval.
