The system combines citizenship information with Americans’ Social Security data, and eligible voters (including naturalized citizens) have already been wrongly flagged as noncitizens. With the midterms just weeks away, the consequences of this are huge.

This is a big deal and it will affect eligible voters! The Supreme Court ruled 6–3 to allow the Trump administration to resume using its expanded SAVE database to check voter rolls, reversing lower-court orders that had blocked it over privacy and accuracy concerns.
