And that's a lot of what organizing is about: listening to folks and empowering them to take action to build a better tomorrow. Want to help build towards better housing availability and affordability here in Rhode Island? Send me a message — I'd love to connect!

After all, our home — the First Place — is the center of our lives. Having a place to call home, a place where you can pursue your ambitions, career, & hobbies, or start a family — is crucial. I did a lot of listening and reflecting during my time at this gathering hosted by @welcomingneighbors.us.

Enjoyed an afternoon out in East Providence at the PVD Food Truck Event at Munroe Dairy's Sacred Cow Ice Cream Shop and Market. It was great running into friends, neighbors, and folks running for office, especially as the primary is coming up this Wednesday, September 9th. 1/3

This past Monday, I voted early at East Providence City Hall in the upcoming primary election here in Rhode Island. I encourage all of my friends and neighbors to get out and vote. It's only a little bit of time out of your day, and it makes all the difference in the future of our state.

This is also what density makes possible. More people in a city means more of this, more life, more connection, more spontaneity. Economically thriving cities are alive, and this is what we get when we say yes to welcoming folks into our neighborhoods and our communities. (2/2)

Today, I'm working from Central Park. People are reading, working, picnicking, and singing together. Strangers sharing the same space and actually enjoying it. Third Places like this bring people together. (1/2)

This legislation would help open the door for faith communities to create much-needed affordable homes across Rhode Island by allowing residential development on underused religious property. A small zoning change with the potential for a big community impact.

Took a day trip to Brunswick, Maine yesterday via Amtrak's Downeaster from North Station in Boston. Enjoyed exploring the town, including Bowdoin's art museum, along with local parks. Pictures below 👇 (1/2)
