Blue Mario. 🔞PFP by @santanaelchan, banner by @cianuro. I RT a lot so mute my posts.

On one hand I want Ridley to remain dead from here on out (chronologically speaking, at least) On the other hand it would be so fucking funny if he was revived one last time only to be an earlygame boss in Ravenous (a la Kraid in Dread) that gets consumed by Samus as an even more permanent death

Other people do the Leo-DiCaprio-point-at-the-screen thing as a character squeezes through a tight space to hide a loading screen I do it when the game takes away your sprint

If you ever hit a walk-and-talk sequence where you have to follow some NPC around as they give you exposition and stop to play canned animations in front of random props, it's prrrroooobably not something the team explicitly wanted to do, is all I'm sayin'

Sometime around 2017, before Insomniac's first Spider-Man game came out, Sony instructed the team to add more walking sequences I spoke with some of the leads about it and they mentioned tweaking everything from climbable obstacle placement to walking speed during these sequences to hit metrics

this bit from skill up's review of wolverine knocked me on my ass, it feels like something that wouldve come out of one of those focus m parody videos but its in a real triple A game

trying to get people to understand that the trans women in sports debate isn’t really about sports but a meta narrative pushed by the right all about slowly getting all trans people out of public life is truly impossible

That said, there is an alarming level of nihilism and disdain for human life permeating through that sector right now. I don’t think we do ourselves favors by writing AI off as useless dogshit instead of engaging with it critically. I just wish there were reliable sources of info, very frustrating

I also believe they use this stuff not only as marketing, but to sort of launder toothless self-regulatory mechanisms instead of actual consumer protection initiatives. So we should probably still take these guys at their word when they say this kind of thing and get serious about that 🤷‍♂️
