For petty, personal reasons, it’s giving me a little “dopamine hit” watching a certain somebody go through public embarrassment, sorry.

The Odyssey predates the modern concept of character. Changing his actions can’t really soften him, since he’s not really a character who could be softened. Only in adaptation does he become a “type of guy” and therefore has to act like a person rather than a series of actions. (Caveat: I’m dumb.)

If I’ve a complaint about the Odyssey it’s honestly that Nolan softens Odysseus way too much. He has Hector’s infant baby thrown off the walls of Troy and hangs all of his maids. He’s definitely not the type of guy to tell Penelope that she can remarry.

Counterpoint: I recently took a rare trip to east Los Angeles and encountered on a single afternoon upward of four different 40+ year old men wearing Minions bucket hats.

You cannot address the underlying causes of bad-faith conspiracy theories. Any measures you introduce to speed up the count will be seized on as a pretext to claim the election is now less secure. (We want only paper ballots meticulously hand-counted by candlelight, and all results instantly!)
