For ##bannedbookweek I have decided to read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I think I read it over two decades ago and have since forgotten most of it. It has been on my #TBR pile for awhile now and so I found it fitting to read it for Banned Book Week. What banned book are you reading this week?

The U.S. owes $40 trillion in debt. Everyone has an opinion about why. But there’s one question you almost never hear asked: Who’s actually getting paid?

Idea: no corporate welfare, subsidies, or government contracts for corporations whose employees need to rely on government assistance because of low wages.

If you managed to stomach the sky-high price of a ticket to a game today, you probably noticed the price-gouging didn’t stop at the stadium entrance. Concessions prices can be double or even triple what they cost just across the street. But there’s a way to crack down.

I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽‍♀️
