Under the cover of darkness, Republicans confirmed Donald Trump’s personal lawyer to serve as Attorney General. The American people deserve a Justice Department that defends the rule of law, not one weaponized to protect the President, reward his allies and shield his corruption.

Trump said he doesn't think about Americans' financial situation. The numbers back him up. The average household in Massachusetts has had to spend $4,600+ more on goods and services in Trump's economy.

Blanche is unfit to be our Attorney General for many reasons, but the most important is that he refuses to ever break ranks from his boss, President Trump, even if it flies in the face of the law.

He also tried to jam through the President’s $1.7 billion weaponization fund, which would be an unprecedented misuse of taxpayer money.

Today I voted no on the confirmation of Todd Blanche to be Attorney General. Instead of standing up for the rule of law or demonstrating any sense of independence, Blanche has repeatedly chosen to go along with President Trump’s weaponization of the Justice Department.

Blanche shall henceforth be known as rump’s Attorney, NOT AG!

Today I'm unveiling a bill with @klobuchar.senate.gov to have the EPA develop those cybersecurity standards and provide resources to help water and wastewater utilities protect their systems from hacks.

Recent cyberattacks by hostile foreign powers have exposed unacceptable risks to America’s water systems. But federal law doesn’t allow the EPA to set minimum standards for cyber protections at our water utilities, or even get reports on cybersecurity practices or incidents.

Trump’s leadership is a complete and total failure. We must end this war and begin to repair the damage he has wrought.
