My reward was seeing them wallpaper the ballpark w/ads and roll out a frustrating team that was less than the sum of its parts. Still, they were 2.5 gms out of a playoff spot. (1/2)

Same with gender-affirming care for kids. Good-faith concern would be, "gee we should be making sure kids are appropriately assessed before receiving care and don't end up regretting it," realizing the numbers are tiny, kids are assessed and regret rates are miniscule and then dropping it.
I missed innings 10-12 of the Orioles' bonkers comeback win today because I had a therapy session. There's a punchline in there somewhere.
This is the team that's pressuring me to renew the season tickets I've held for 14 years. Gotta opt out by August 7 if you don't want to auto-renew! Otherwise we'll charge you the first installment on August 11. For 2027. The season that starts 7 1/2 months later, assuming there's no lockout.

Live report from Oriole Park at Camden Yards: the more I see of the beer-branded flag court, the less I like it. The white logos plastered all over the brick facade, the branding on the railing, and the TVs FACING THE FIELD OF PLAY are all downgrades.
My two-year-old son just walked up to me and asked, "Daddy, how can the Orioles ever maximize revenue for Mr. Rubenstein while competing against the much larger markets in their division if the players won't agree to a salary cap?" I didn't know how to answer. I just held him close as we both cried.

I groused my way through last night's insanely frustrating Orioles game, so I'll share good vibes from tonight's contest. Simon the usher has been exchanging mild smack talk with a guy who's rooting for Seattle. He finally convinced the guy to come hold his "Let's Go O's" sign and lead the cheer.
