A #painting from a few years ago. "Listowel" is a County Kerry town I've done a few paintings of, but this particular painting came out of a time I was cycling in north Kerry and having the time of my life. Mind you in fairness whenever I'm in north Kerry I have the time of my life. #art #SpeirGhorm

Landscape format loosely painted in acrylics on canvas. Row of nine 3-storey brightly coloured buildings on left side of square (near to far being tangerine, fawn, pink, brown, turquoise, blue, peach, green, blue and grey) with different coloured shopfronts. Paved area in front of buildings is canary yellow and dotted with decorative trees which a narrow trunk up to a small clump of foliage, black underneath with dots of bright green and yellow at their tops and sides. Road with black surface runs through centre of square from packed car park at top down to bottom where, upside-down to viewer, STOP is written in white on surface at t-junction. Beyond cars at far end of square is beginning of another row of bright buildings (pink, orange, green). Planters, metal bollards, and yellow lines are along edge of road. Roofs are dark blues. Sky is dramatically cloudy and bright, rendered in blotchy yellows, ochres, with tints of greens and oranges. Signed bottom left in yellow on black road surface, Liam Daly

The temporary block ended another last-minute flurry of legal action over the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.

Journalist Anas Al-Sharif reporting from Gaza, shortly before Israel killed him tonight: “If this madness doesn’t end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its people’s voices silenced, their faces erased — and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.”

Al Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif, 28, has been killed alongside 3 colleagues after a tent housing journalists outside al-Shifa hospital was hit in Gaza City. Israel accuses him of Hamas ties, which the network rejects. #Gaza

"One of the reasons the epidemic of violence against women is so unacknowledged is because cases like these are talked about individually, and often treated as though they are shocking aberrations rather than part of a pervasive pattern that operates at all levels of society."

Treating the scandal as an aberration misunderstands the global epidemic of violence against women

Hey. Okay. Looking for some help from the #FineArt crowd. Have this print that’s at least 35 years old and am trying to learn more about it and the artist who I think is named Paul Greene. It’s not signed in the usual place, so I’m not positive that is the artist’s name. #Art #Artsky

Print by Paul Greene (?) of a streetscape of ‘Central hotel’. Photo of artists’ signature.
