A masterpiece. And it has some of the all-time great John Sayles lines, which is saying a lot. The one that never leaves my mind is David Strathairn as the sheriff saying of a person he dislikes "I wouldn't piss on him if his heart was on fire."

Great movie, would recommend, but I’m thinking about it as much as I am this movie theater snack I’d never had before. For reference, this is a photo I took of the bag, which I kept to make sure I’d remember to buy some more for home.

Mayer has one tangibly sticky trait and that's his bat speed. His drop in contact quality and SweetSpot% this season could be indicative that there's a mechanical adjustment to be made. So it's not like there's no upside in grabbing a 2B with 5.5 years of control.

He wasted one of the most enviable cores of the past decade. Incredible work!
