It's actually pretty easy to get people to say nice things about you when you die. Simply be someone worth mourning.
As an Open Source person I am apparently expected to keep doing things for free so I get invited to participate in EU policy events in Brussels, with not even an attempt to offer me compensation for travel, lodging or time. So I decline.
Now I'm glad that the dysfunction of the CVE-ecosystem caused us to create our own "VSV" sequence in @vinyl_cache https://research.jfrog.com/post/sqlite-critical-cves-or-llm-slops/
SQLite Critical CVEs or LLM Slop? - JFrog Security Research
The JFrog security research team recently identified a supply chain attack targeting the `xinference` package on PyPI. Versions 2.6.0, 2.6.1, and 2.6.2 were compromised and yanked by maintainers after users reported suspicious behavior. If you installed or imported these versions, you must assume your environment is compromised.

Of all the big LLM companies, the most ethical one in terms of ripping off copyrighted works is GrokAI, which is only trained on Mein Kampf and Lolita.
Our criteria for success are disastrously skewed. In my view, a successful person is one who does more good than harm, on any scale. On this measure, most billionaires are massive failures, while humble folk in my neighbourhood who look after other people are highly successful.

The Strongest El Niño Ever https://www.theclimatebrink.com/p/the-strongest-el-nino-ever#footnote-anchor-1 With all the July runs in, dynamical models give a ~90% chance of a record-setting event <- much bigger than 1877-1878. That killed ~50 million people.
👀 YouTube removed my interview with @davidzmorris.bsky.social about Jeffrey Epstein's deep ties to Bitcoin. We are investigating and will certainly make a very big noise about this if YouTube doesn't back down. You can listen to the BANNED episode here: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...
