O͖̺͊̕͡ͅfficial bluesky for realhackhistory YouTube channel & blog, skeeting the #history of phreaks, #hacking & #hacktivism as well as portrayal of hackers in media. I do some threat intel & OSINT. No AI used. Hobbyist #skystorian. https://realhackhistory.org/

insane that streaming services want *you* to pay *them* so that you *can't* see shit like this at the start of your movies

The people who run Bluesky continue to pine for the users they wish they have, instead of the people who are actually here. A “civil and positive” “town square” with people who don’t believe that certain segments of the population are deserving of human rights? What is civil or positive about that?

Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

There are way too many people on this platform who conflate skeeting about someone as supporting that person, which is kind of funny given the crossover between this group of posters and people who reply to literally every skeet with some variation of “Donald Drumpf” or “Epstein distraction”.

Mr.SOUL of (widely suspected of being linked directly to the Iranian government) hacktivist group CyberAv3ngers has made a statement about the Minnesota water utility attacks. Genuinely wondering what the angle is in denying responsibility, perhaps because of cease fire talks?

Mr.Soul Official
I have seen several instances where
propaganda outlets and fake news creators are spreading reports claiming that CyberAv3ngers has carried out attacks against infrastructure in other countries. As an example, I have included a link to one of these reports.
• Now, there are a few points that need to be made:
1. Any operation conducted by the CyberAv3ngers hacking group will only be announced through me and through this group and channel. However, the group will soon launch its own official channel, and I will share the link here when it becomes available.
2. Our policy is to conduct operations during times of war. Since there is currently no cyber war taking place, we see no reason to carry out any attacks.
That said, we are fully prepared for war and are closely monitoring the situation.
3. If any group from any country attempts to use these reports as a pretext for launching cyberattacks, they should be certain that we will detonate all the bombs wethese reports as a pretext for launching cyberattacks, they should be certain that we will detonate all the bombs we previously planted within their systems and the systems of their allies-a powerful and large-scale attack unlike anything the world has ever seen in cyberspace, in a way that will make life extremely difficult for them.
This is Mr. SOUL's first and final official warning. Do not pay attention to fake news, and do not contribute to spreading it!

It would be interesting to see if any non-US companies were victims of these so called "rogue" systems and what would happen if they were to engage their own country's law enforcement agencies. Or if any of those entities are regulated by EU law (NIS2, DORA, GDPR, AI Act) :)

seems that way, but that would require the DOJ's last remaining handful of prosecutors having enough brain cells to come up with an indictment, and that seems especially unlikely.

Keen to see if any of the companies that were hacked by OpenAI or Anthropic will sue them. Someone has to take responsibility for this, and the blame is almost entirely on the leaders of these AI companies. Alternatively, hacking is just legal now until a court says otherwise? What a fucking mess.

Sorry: they only did reviews to see if their software had unlawfully and without authorisation accessed networks of third parties? This wasn’t a defined control *during* their “testing”? This is extreme negligence at least. cyberscoop.com/anthropic-cl...
