Jalan Gaines looked good. Milroe looks dangerous as a scrambler... made some nice short/medium throws but he needs to take some deep shots to be effective because those will open up the field for scrambling.

One of the weirdest things in my existence is that every so often I get tastebuds that turn kind of white and stick up for no apparent reason. They drive me nuts cause I'm a little OCD. So I chop them off with fingernail clippers which hurts but generally brings relief. #TEDTalk

This book is real good and if you don't already have one, get you the paperback when it's out Of interest to anyone who's into the history of live music performance & the tech that supports it, or the shenanigans of a bunch of very brilliant people on a whole lot of strong ass drugs with a budget

I love the feel of a paperback. Maybe you do, too. LOUD AND CLEAR: The Grateful Dead’s Wall of Sound and the Quest for Audio Perfection, is coming very soon to softcover via @stmartinspress.bsky.social. August 18.

IMHO, the trick with psychedelics is that open a door that you can step through. Many people keep taking psychedelics but don't step through the door. The great thing about psychedelics is that they are a chemical trigger to awakening by tricking your body into thinking you are dying. 1/

Piketty's work, Capital in the 21st Century, explains so much about why western societies are failing to meet humanity's needs and how to address it. And it empirically based. I haven't read the book, just discussions of it. You can do the same and understand it.

💯 A shining example of Piketty's thesis: wealthy people using their wealth to protect their rents at all costs by corrupting the government and using propaganda to implement policy that hurts humanity.

This is the reason, the ONLY reason they refuse to stop burning Fossil Fuel. Because it is going to wipeout so much of THEIR wealth and income. Which is why they constantly scream Net Zero will cost a fortune. It will, it's their fortune.
