So now we are entering the season where university administrators announce their goals and plans for the entire academic year, and then set a deadline for them to be completed by mid-September. Oh, and have the completely revised and restructured syllabi we announced yesterday ready next week, too.

Just an appreciation post for this guy. The COVID pandemic would have been far worse without Dr. Fauci's decades of experience as guidance through it. Had he been working under an adult president and not the child that presided over 2020, he would have saved even more lives without having to contend

For anybody who still thinks libertarianism is a "principled" political philosophy, self-styled "libertarian" Rand Paul has pulled the mask right off. There is nothing there but absolute rejection of ethics and morality.

They still aren’t updating the infrastructure btw. They’re hooking up these data centers and figuring out where the water and power come from later. It’s like how they’re always throwing up housing divisions and then the water and roads can’t keep up with the growth.

It's always good to have allies who come from a different ideological view than yours, but taking advice from people who saw no problem with Bush in 2000 seems a bit unwise nonetheless.

During our 20-minute check-in call today, Mitch McConnell told me he was unhappy that anything good he ever did (really short list) is going to be overshadowed by the cover-up of his illness/death here at the end.

Bill Maher threatening to vote for JD Vance because he's in a snit about progressive Democrats is absolutely the most on-brand thing I've heard him say. A blind pig may find a truffle every now and then, but Bill always manages to find a pile of dung. thehill.com/homenews/cam...

At any given moment, he’ll do what he thinks he needs to do to get out of whatever immediate jam he’s put himself in. That’s why we’re in this war in the first place. And that’s why Donald Trump running a real-live war is the world’s worst nightmare. trib.al/i5fG6BA

The World’s Worst Nightmare: Donald Trump in Charge of a Real-Live War

There are no best-case scenarios when a corrupt, vainglorious toddler is running the world’s deadliest military.

Was on the road this week, and learned all over how much fast food restaurants suck these days. Six people on the drive-thru window, nobody at the counter. Overpriced "meal deals." Small burgers that are now the size of hockey pucks and don't taste much better. 9 fries in a small order.
