Comps/gifts/priority treatment are things media should reject whenever possible. Sometimes it isn't possible, and you manage those cases as honestly as you can. To instead treat these perks as an expectation, part of a trade between you and what you cover, is beyond embarrassing.

This book is impressive, every 5 lines I’m going like “ohhhh”, is so well explained and not super technical or complex to understand. The firelight distance rule blew my mind.
