I don't know if Tyranny is Obsidian Entertainment's best game, but for my money it is their most interesting and effective design. Here's my piece on the 10th anniversary of Tyranny, which people weren't in the mood for in November 2016 and may be even less so today

A lot of knee-jerk reaction to the Steam Machine pricing, and while it certainly isn't *cheap*, it's not as unreasonable as it seems at first glance. Horrible market, but still in line with entry-level gaming desktop pricing. The experience of plugging in a standard tower into your TV is bad!

As more people are vocally anti-AI, new spin/trend has developed where company leaders or community managers will state that 'they don't like AI slop either', which sounds disarming, but carries the implication that their stuff *isn't* slop, and they're the ones who will do it the *right* way
