GTA 6 feels less like a game and more some kind of totem for a certain kind of dying gamer identity, that cannot economically or culturally sustain itself anymore. it represents a million different things and seemingly the least important of them is that it is an open world mission based video game

Console wars have always been culture wars, the only thing that's changed is which cultural animosities have been animated. Read any mid-2000s flame war and you'll read how Nintendo is Gay, Japanese Games Are Bizarre, Xbox is for stupid American taste, and the PSP was for rich kids.

New GTA 6 Trailer Is Coming Soon, But It'll Be a Netflix Exclusive for a Few Hours

This morning, Rockstar announced the trailer, titled “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look.” But gamers quickly noticed the video will first be released on Netflix on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. EST. It will then hit YouTube six hours later at 9 p.m. Netflix does not have a free tier or trial period, so you'll need to pay at least $8.99 to be among the first to watch.
