My mom craved a Filet-O-Fish today, so I went to McDonald’s. I was shocked it costs nearly $8. ($6.99 minus CA tax.) In 2019, the avg price was $4. Can’t be tariff-related since the fish is allegedly wild caught in Alaska. Adjusted for inflation (since ‘19) it should cost $5.19.

The World Cup restarted the natural vs. artificial turf debate this summer. But what would it take for NFL stadiums—which FIFA converted to real grass—to execute a similar setup for (American) football? A breakdown in my latest @latimes.com story. www.latimes.com/sports/socce...

Does telling your tennis opponent (who is at least 15 years younger) that I scheduled surgery on my other hip while up 6-0, 5-0 count as a chirp?

Conspiracy theory: Those rumblings over a delay of the NFL schedule release (slated for Thursday) could have been because league officials were working to force Fox to make the Cardinals, Titans or Jaguars as one of the "America's Game of the Week" teams for weeks 1-10.

Some of my best reporting will only be seen by like a half-dozen people (for now). 🤞 you all get to see what I found for this true crime doc.

Oh hey! I apparently covered another story that was subject of a Netflix Untold. I think we are up to at least seven now. (Pretty sure this is my only story on this shooting so it's more accurate to say I "somewhat covered" this one.) www.usatoday.com/story/sports...

As far as novelty concessions go, the $18 Stuggy’s Crab Mac 'n Cheese Dog wasn’t bad (probably because it originated in Baltimore and not here in DC).
