haw'akadi gyaawksu, "i never left". on life during youth, growing apart and relative distance as an adult, and longing, inspired by the life cycle of salmon - born in the river, out to the ocean, and then (hopefully) coming back. (it's also the sticker for july!) #indigenousart #formline

a formline design of two salmon eggs, framed by a pair of adult salmon at the outer edges. the salmon eggs are sharing a gaze, and the water surrounding them is dark. as the design proceeds into the outer adult salmon heads, they face away from each other into lighter waters. the salmon are coloured in spawning phase.

'nüüm na waalt - it belongs to us all. sticker design this month on my patreon 🌕 inspired by the artemis ii mission, and pictures of mineral moons that circulated at the time (partially due to a misunderstanding that they were un- or lightly-manipulated photos from the mission itself).

an illustration of a mineral moon. the craters and trails of the moon are coloured in an exaggerated, limited rainbow; a formline design of raven's wing feathers are casted across the moon, and his head extends around the side, as if trying to hold it. the earth is also drawn in phases in the corner of the design.

We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.
