I’ve been trimming my own beard for ~10 years now and I thought “how much harder can it be to five myself a haircut?” Much harder, it turns out.
I read a paper the other day where mice who are socially deprived for 3 days gain this increasing anxious drive in their hypothalamus and the only thing that alleviates it is physical touch. Not smell, not being able to see. Touch. And I was like. Oh.
