Physio scheduled for today. So I won’t be posting as much as I recover. Just in case folks are wondering why I might not reply to comments for a few days.

I don’t consider myself a tragedy, so my disabled characters aren’t either. I want them to have adventures with their bodyminds as is. Because that’s what I try to do as the protagonist of my own life! #SpoonieAuthChat

Getting to the final production stage of Hot Wings and Sauciness. How I wrote a book at all this year is astounding. And my Colleen is the sauciest disabled protagonist yet! Disability romance innn spaaace for the win! #SpoonieAuthChat

- Accessibility. Having an accessibility coordinator/team helps! - Invite us to speak on panels that aren’t necessarily focused on disability. (I love space opera!) - Remember that you can have more than one disabled speaker, panelist, panel. We’re not a speciality item! #SpoonieAuthChat
Spoonie Author Chat (for creatives who manage spoons), July 27, 2026: In this final week of Disability Pride Month, what would you like to happen so we're included more in writerly spaces? (Please quote-post and add #SpoonieAuthChat to your replies.)
Ever have one of those days where you feel like you have the opposite of the Midas touch, and everything that you get your hands on turns to crap? No, not me. Why do you ask? 💩
My heart goes out to all the heartbroken in Berlin today (and those affected around the world).
Got the final chapters of the novel I'm posting one chapter at a time up to my website. (You can read at kitauthor.com by joining the community). Reminded just how amazingly I tied the two halves of my fantasy writing together - my magic and the mythology and looking forward to starting the next.

This year, I learned about the Chelsea Chop! So, I’ve been cutting back some plants in order for them to be fuller, with more blooms. These petunias were leggy and not pretty. The base of the plant was good though, so, I brought them home and chopped them to only a few inches. Now look how lovely!
I incorporated the last round of edits for Hot Wings and Sauciness! And made the changes I wanted for the re-release of the revised edition of Life in the ‘Cosm! I need to bake some brownies. #QueerWriters #LGBTQWriters
#QueerWriters #CheckIn I wrote 3455 words this week, 2256 of which was in a new short story following up my first book. I then went back to 𝘚𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘚𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 and have been filling in the gaps on my rough And I did some non-writing stuff this week #WritingCommunity #LGBTQWriters
Thinky Thought: the whole “yucking on your yum” thing. 🧵 I don’t think I’ll ever really be able to understand why when someone is posting about something that brings them joy, there will always be people who just say how much they detest it. 1/5

A4: I think I need to continue this new schedule, brought to me by “Oh, hey, HRT helps me sleep again!” My mental health is much better because I’m accepting what I can’t do in a day and slowing my pace. It’s a challenge because my autie brain wants to do all the tasks! #WeeknightWriters
Q4: What can you do in the next week to make your life a little more pleasant? #WeeknightWriters
A5: Leave a review of my books, if you read them? Even a tiny review is so appreciated. Maybe spread the word? Oh, and go “Oooo!” at all my baking posts! #WeeknightWriters
Q5: What can we, the Weeknight Writers community, do in the next week to make your life a little more pleasant? #WeeknightWriters
A3: Incorporating all the edits for Hot Wings and Sauciness and realizing the ebook can be release earlier! Feeling the love for my ’Cosm series again. I want to finish the first draft of the sequel. It already has 50K+ words! #WeeknightWriters
Q3: Let's cheer things up a bit! What has brought you joy in the past week? Remember, no joy is too small! #WeeknightWriters
Q2: This week, I’m not struggling as much with my choice to go indie. I’m really feeling the benefits of having a flexible schedule and just letting my wacky storytelling fly! I’ve been also realizing that doing things at a slower pace prevents meltdowns from The Overwhelm. #WeeknightWriters
Q2: Is there anything specific you're struggling with this week? Let us know about it and we'll see what we can do to help! #WeeknightWriters
A1: I’m in good spirits! Which is weird because everything around me is absolute chaos. (Yay, HRT benefits?) I’m also almost finished the revised edition of Life in the ’Cosm. It’s been special returning back to that microcosm. I missed those characters! #WeeknightWriters
Q1: How are you holding up this week? (Or not holding, as the case may be) #WeeknightWriters
Hi, #WeeknightWriters! I’m a baker who accidentally became an author ten years ago. My latest WIP has completed the editing phase and is imminent! Hot Wings and Sauciness features the meet-awkward of the 25th century and stars an autistic, disabled, and sweary FMC! *coughs, whistles innocently*
Hello #WeeknightWriters ! Come on in, introduce yourself and your WIP, and let us know how your writing week is going! Or not going, that's valid too
Creating and feeling proud of what you create will always, always beat out inputting a command and getting theft slop in return. Art has always been about the process. It's only the capitalists who seem to think it's about getting to the end result as fast as possible without effort.
Hey, guess what? On my birthday, I get to spend a couple of hours with the awesomest @kristawallace.bsky.social at When Words Collide! We’ll be selling books and doing a signing! Say hi to us because we’re super friendly and adorbz!
