Surrounded by comics they never have time enough to read. Always tired. Writing nonsense about Robotech on the internet since the late '90s.

"An extremely loose adaptation of a Peter Milligan X-Men story about Gambit, Rogue, and Apocalypse where half the team are wearing their Morrison & Quitely New X-Men uniforms" would have been nowhere on my X-Men '97 bingo card when the show was announced years ago, but I'm so glad we got here.

I am several episodes behind on X-Men '97, a show about which I was saying, "I hope this painful medical nonsense I'm dealing with doesn't kill me before the new season starts!" back in the spring, because I know they'll be waiting for me on Disney+ when I can get to them later. There is no urgency.

It’s important to understand that when 1.2 million Americans are dying from a disease, any government action is excessive and tyrannical, but if a dozen trans women want to play soccer no government action can go far enough

It's absolutely insane we've somehow let the Covid recriminations debate become like "why didn't we reopen in person schools before there was a vaccine" and not "why did none of the trump guys go to jail for stealing PPE from New York hospitals in March 2020"

I got two: Trump is ineligible to be president under the 14th amendment thus all his pardons and executive orders are null and void. also, it cannot possibly be the case that the Founders intended the pardon power to be a viable criminal conspiracy tool. pardons in service of crime are void as well

This is why the number one thing liberal con law people should be working on is arguments that Trump’s pardons are not valid. Obviously none of this can happen without court packing but once the new liberal court is in place, there need to be arguments ready to hand them.

Got a good job down at the Data Center. I work on the line, and it's hard work but it's honest and the wage is fair; my family and I are grateful for it. I rivet the word "absolutely" onto the little apologies that chatbots do when they misunderstand a prompt.

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

The thing that always makes me crazy about this one is the fact that if they DID have a leg to stand on here, there's be at least one victim of an evil cross-dresser attacking women in the ladies room who'd be paraded around to thank lawmakers for bathroom bills to shore up their side.

Bathrooms: "Gee we should be making sure predators aren't pretending to be trans to get into women's bathrooms and attacking them," realizing this is essentially an urban legend and then dropping it.

Any time any Democrat mentions the word "bipartisan" as a laudable goal it makes me want to throw them out of office and replace them with someone who will tell people the truth: that Republicans are a deranged militant conspiracy cult treating half of America like an occupied territory
