Yeah. This. I don't have kids and I don't want any. I still want my taxes to go to schools, to universities, to libraries. I want that money to pay for free lunches and playgrounds and parental leave. I don't have kids, but I still vote like I'm deciding their future, because I am.

The way this year has been so insanely frustrating >.> I have *several* concepts for multi-parters that just kind of. Appear. With lots of detail. But I *know* they require a ton more work to really *get right*, and I don't have that time right now so they go on the back burner.

God, this, so much. I try. I try so fucking hard to find good quality stuff, produced with at least a semblance of ethics, that will last more than a year or two. It's become nearly impossible. Things just break now. For no reason. All the time. And if that's the case, why spend more than I have to?

Do not overlook the fact that some stuff is still expensive but worse now. If you don't know if the expensive thing will be any good you are going to buy the cheap thing.

God, I remember reading about this ages ago and even then thinking that this is stupid, why is this a lawsuit, what are you thinking, knock it OFF! This was only slightly less ridiculous than the omegaverse lawsuit, if only because nobody had to learn about wolf dicks in this one 🙄

You may recall the case where Lynne Freeman sued Tracy Wolff for writing a YA set in Alaska where the male lead was hot and broody, just like in Freeman's book. This litigation went on for three years before a judge finally read both books and said there was zero infringement.

I started getting followed by some "film festivals" and "writing festivals" and thought "oh, these are cool!" Then I looked a little closer. They're all part of a network that preys on writers, charging us for reviews, and feeding our stuff into slop generators. So I made a list.👋🏻🖕🏻😠

2026 continues to be a rollercoaster 🫠 I've had some health stuff come up, which has made it harder to be consistent. I've also had terrible luck picking projects this year, which isn't helping. I did a lot of planning on paper though which isn't accounted for here. Hopefully I'll have news soon 🤞
