Twice during an interview on the BBC’s #Today programme, Katya Adler referred to an interviewee “from a left-wing thinktank”. I have NEVER heard the programme refer to anyone as “from a right-wing think tank”, though it pretty much exclusively goes to right-wing think tanks for their opinions.

If you are a local Councillor anywhere in the country - please consider bringing a similar motion. This was a Green initiative, but Labour and the Lib Dems supported it. We need to show Central Govt loud and clear that people on the ground who understand the real impact of drug policy want change.

Bristol City Council passed a Green motion calling for a smarter, more compassionate approach to drug policy. Today was an important step towards a safer Bristol. Now it’s time for national government to catch up.

I took the train from Bristol to London and back today and want to give a big shout out to all the rail staff who were basically battling cancellation after cancellation in searing heat and managing hot and stressed travellers with grace and patience. 🙌🏼
