This is a *fantastic* video that explains exactly WTF is going on with Taylor Farms and how tracing works TLDR: - they are responsible - the false positive was only on one of several samples - it’s difficult to test parasites - there may still be other sources - Taylor Farms is being shady AF

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

Happy to share @kriddie.bsky.social's latest paper, out today in Biogeochemistry. Among her many findings: 1) hydrologic connectivity drives high CO2 fluxes, 2) low pCO2 & pCH4 are indicative of high emission rates, and 3) opposite hysteresis DOM/CO2 to the same storm! Read it here: rdcu.be/fk0o4

2nd day of final exams for Fall '25 at UNC and buildings are *locked* as they are usually on weekends. You'd think somebody from the Registrar Office would have called Campus Facilities to let them know finals are scheduled today and thousands of students are coming into their regular classrooms
