I always thought “Don’t care what other people think.“ felt too carte-blanche about self-expression and somewhat insensitive to the vulnerability self-expression necessitates. Today I realized it’s more about accepting that the average person has a -5 modifier on their insight checks.
If I was a leader of a nation and got threatened with this, I'd just straight laugh them out of my office then write up a law to ban them from operating in my country altogether. We need a better political class that'll stand up to these thieving charlatans.
