In 50 days time our members will be taking 5 weeks of strike action. We call for the redundancy process to be stopped! Executives want 200 jobs to go (187FTE). Due to resignations and retirements, and non-staff savings, they are 35FTE from their staffing target. Stop this cruel, flawed process.

Labour lost nearly four times as many voters to the Greens as Reform. Yet all you hear about is Reform's threat to Labour. Why? Because a) the left aren't treated as legitimate political actors b) Labour's masters prefer bashing migrants to challenging wealth and power

The interim Principal of the University of Dundee has just sent an email to staff outlining staff headcount and FTE. The data that he shares shows that data given to the Gillies report and Scottish Parliament on staff numbers was wildly inaccurate. And that more FTE than headcount have left!!!

Another EGG-cellent day on the Pickets. Student sign makers out in force. We could not BEE anymore pleased with our RAWRsome inflatables who have done more for staff morale in a few hours than Heriot-Watt has all year. #ucu #loveLINCS #savescholar Protect jobs

A cheery sign filled picketA dinosaur a bee and a chickenInflatables plus placards and picketsScholar staff with a bee next to the Protect Scholar banner

Some of our lovely creative signs in support of LINCS, languages & cultural studies, opposing cuts and highlighting that the number of management staff paid over £100,000 has increased, again. #loveLINCS

A collage: top left " no compulsory redundancies. Keine Zwang-sentlassungen" Love LINCS.
Middle left: "Stop cuts to cultural studies, we don't need no philistines, all in all your just another brick in the wall" "students support the strikes"
Bottom left "Don't Shrink Lincs"
Bottom right: cats against compulsory redundancies "save German & Chinese, no cuts" top rightness £100,00 (mis)management hires but no money for your future, I am no maths student but something does not add up" save lincs

Then we’ll be on strike tomorrow and Wednesday. Join us on the picket line for a chat and to support our fight to save jobs. Pavement at the front of the Tower Building. 8:30am-12pm, both days.

Members of our branch voted to take strike action on 17th-18th March. We are asking the University to rule out compulsory redundancies. We also passed a unanimous Vote of No Confidence in the University Executive Group. Join us on the picket lines! #SaveHE www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/politics/...
