In the near future it's really going to be us or them: CSAM as a business model, Kalshi enabling people to bet on cancer survival and forest fires, Elon promising moon factories while his rockets explode and wipe out critical habitats, I think prosecution is probably the least of what's necessary.

One of the more humbling aspects of gardening in Minneapolis is when you come across a volunteer tomato plant growing out a crack in the alley that looks better than the ones you've been faithfully tending since May.
Clearing people out of the barest homes they've made for themselves while simultaneously giving them no where to go: the cruelest thing I've ever heard.
YOGURT. I remember when it was hippy food and it was terrible. Now you can get a million flavors, dairy and non dairy, and greek yogurt...my God.

While there are plenty of dumb machines (and trust me, there were then; I was there), the strength/flexibility disciplines are much more sound (aerobics wrecked a lot of joints), the science of cross-training/rest so much more on-point, equipment ergonomic.

Early in the pandemic, they said a vaccine would take 5-7 years to develop. People were dying en masse and I didn't think I'd last that long. Months later, I was vaccinated and sobbing with relief. Fauci is a hero. We need these stories. The real ones. Why did we rush to forget?

Actually getting COVID is the only thing that made him realize he should’ve gotten the vaccine. It was already too late. I’m forever grateful to the doctors who provided the best care and did everything they could for him.
American universities, corporations, and law firms could have done the same thing at the beginning of Trump's second term and we'd all be in a much better place now.

For the first time since January, I drove past Nicollet and Lake. Renee Good had just been murdered and we were following Bovino and his thugs. They stopped there and it was all tear gas and chaos, for nothing basically. There are these memory holes all over the city, and now we have a map.
