me reading through my backlog and blasting through my modest reading goals for this year all in the pursuit of avoiding working on my giant pile of severely malnourished and neglected wips. such is the way of the worm.

Trying to nail myself down to finish any given wip no matter how short or how extensively I have detailed its outline is akin to the ACT of clicking on a Popup in Ch2. I sit down to work on one wip and like 4 more spawn around it

Feel braindead after today. But at least I finally got a tracking update on a Zine I ordered last year that shipped out in mid august. so it now has a Canada Post tracking number which means it should finally... finally be in my hands within the next week and a half. i yearn for my yaoi...

I added the phrase "avoiding working on my wips" to my island lingo as a joke months ago to make fun of myself for my extremely scattered work cycle and my Miis have since latched onto it and repeat it in conversation and to me more than any other phase. I have played myself.

This girl I used to waitress with in Austin, we moved to New York together in 2003 on a literal Greyhound bus. Shared a fifth floor walk-up studio that, when it rained, had more leaks in the ceiling than we had pots and pans. We used to get drunk and smoke off the fire escape and do “sad-offs.”

i get tired of how fandoms interact w narratives. a lot of ppl in them have this urge to put everything into separate little boxes, or to feel like just because theyre a fan of something, it belongs to them. connection isnt ownership, investment and attention arent either. its false entitlement.

Getting some more done on sfau 3 very slowly, as I've gotten some of my inspiration back. Hope I can get more significant progress done soon rather than the scattered scraps that's been my normal pace for the past several months.

Am coming to the incredibly funny realisation about my current TBR in the fact that I have literally zero lighthearted/fluffy reads backlogged. It's all horror and thrillers and general depressing shit. The Fiver of early 2026 was really going the fuck through it when they made this list.

Vyvanse: the drug I need to make my brain work, which multiple governments have labelled a controlled substance for its addictive quality. I wake up in the morning, have breakfast, and forget about my daily dose for a full 4 hours until I am reminded by something random. This is a daily occurrence.
