My kitten, Floki, has learned how to print copies on the printer. He'll stand on the buttons until it whirrs up, then he jumps down and watches it spit out paper. One day I expect to wake up to a stack of prints of kitten butthole. He's that type.

Home from Gary Con. Was an amazing experience. The hotel was cozy AF, I got to play some Crooked Moon and Gooey Cube, meet and hang out with cool peeps, and just vibe with a ton of fellow nerds. My only regret is not having the spoons to do everything I planned to do. Maybe next year!

It's not what Casey was wanting but there is a browser extension to detect AI usage in Steam games. You'll get a pop up informing you of it, especially if they didn't disclose it. addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo...

One thing I'd like to see Steam do that would be an instant improvement for browsing Next Fest is a toggle for AI generated content, which I know wouldn't be a complete solution because a lot of shady devs use generative AI and don't disclose it, but it would've helped filter some of the slop out.

Players have been asking for the ability to filter out games made with Gen AI. We've added an automatic tag on SteamDB based on the AI gen content disclosures on the store pages.

Will see if Steam adds the options, but I would appreciate it both as a dev and a player!SteamDB screenshot of the AI tag page: This tag identifies games where developers have disclosed the use of generative artificial intelligence anywhere in their product or marketing. SteamDB applies this tag automatically when the specific AI generative content disclosure statement appears on a game's Steam store page. It applies regardless of whether AI was used in the game itself or just for marketing assets. Games receive this tag based solely on the presence of Steam's required disclosure text.
