When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore. When your SpaceX rocket hits the moon like a big piece of junk and you don't give a shit, you're a moron.

We've just had about 10 minutes of rain here. The birds seem happy. The cat, less so. The first rain I've seen for at least a month. Hopefully, it's topped up our water butts.

That moment, when driving home from a night out and two blocks away from the house I spot my cat, on a main road verge looking for snacks in bushes 😱. He recognises my car engine sound and looks startled as he sees me🙀. Cue a 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' style race to get back home before I do. I won.
RIP Bill Oddie. You will never know how much this delighted me as a 3 or 4 year old. I hope you are now resting, surrounded by the nature and birds you loved so much.

One of the things I'm trying to do with my blog is not just write about movies but everything I watch; I've spent six weeks with the World Cup Finals, and rather than have my seething vitriol seep into my film reviews, I'm getting all my anger out in an editorial. film-authority.com/2026/07/21/t...

Argentina, You're not cheating any more. Taraaaaaa, bye, etc.. Can't always rely on the 'Hand of god'.
I am not watching the England v Argentina football game for many different reasons. However, it is deathly quiet outside. No cars have come down my road for about 20 minutes and the usual hum from the nearby dual carriageway is non-existent. It reminds me of the first week of lockdown.

The legal professional I (unfortunately) met on a training course, who made me feel really uncomfortable with very unwanted creepy advances, even though I told him to get lost, who then sent letters to me at my place of work... Tonight, I found out he was jailed for various sexual offences. 🤢🤮

Cuba's historic homes teeter on brink as economy collapses. In Havana's old town, to walk on the pavement is to take your life into your hands. The ornate stone balconies of the decaying colonial townhouses jutting above your head are liable to collapse at any moment u.afp.com/SzWo
Feeling the love in Brighton from the anti-fascist march. Fat Boy Slim tells it as it is. I just wish I was there too.
Can confirm Fatboy Slim was with us
It would have been this little lady's 14th birthday today. Here are some early sweet pea flowers next to a picture of Mollie, who went for her long sleep in 2024. Now I'm just waiting for Mollie's brother to grace us with his presence, so he can open his birthday treats........ *yawn*......😸
How many of us feel in a cold rage today? Mine is directed at Farage & this comment on yesterday's Guardian piece by John Crace is spot on. The writer uses a pseudonym or I would credit them but, to whomever he or she is, I say bravo.
Keep this in your heart today. Good morning Blue Sky
