I had iOS 18 installed on an older iPhone. I got a prompt to install an iOS 18.7.8 update on my iPhone 13 Mini, and I ended up with iOS 26 installed instead. It is an understatement to say I'm very upset with Apple as a company.

I've poured blood, sweat, and tears into Demake86. This has been a labor of love that I've worked on for years. Inspired by Minitroid, Environmental Station Alpha, AM2R, and KOLM, and Metroid. If you also love Metroid, please check it out. Demake86 will release for free on August 6th.

My free and legally-distinct fangame / homage / remake of the original NES Metroid is about to release on August 6th! DEMAKE86 is a challenging adventure confined to an 8^6 pixel meteoroid, which can beat in one sitting. More details here: carrion.0xpossum.dev/demake86/ #metroidvania #gamedev

Super Metroid was the first game I'd ever seen, and I started programming around the age of 7 because I wanted to make a Metroid game. It's silly, but the whole course of my life has been guided by thinking Samus from Metroid is very cool. I'm about to fulfill a childhood dream, that's awesome

Campaign Evolved local coop is a bust :\ - Huge input lag on Series S - Saves lost on update - Starting multiplayer campaign flow is broken and requires restarting a few times to get it to work Really disappointing waste of $50

It really is apparent Campaign Evolved was rushed. Esp. the cutscenes. The OG had janky animations, weird deliveries, and and things that didn't entirely "fit together". But the revamped edition does, in a way that doesn't mesh with the incredibly high-fidelity rendering.

this is my proposed redesign of the trans flag. the four small stars represent the four genders (man, woman, femboy, & tomboy) while the big star represents chasers, who out community would be nothing without.

the chinese flag: 5 golden stars (1 big, 4 small) over a bright red background.

I wish there was just one serious no-jokes place on the internet. I think jokes serve a utility for the ability to noncommittally suggest ideas, or to distance yourself from things you said in earnest but found to be socially embarrassing. But I think that is sometimes bad, given where that lead us.

One of the worst things about LLMs (other than expertise using them being expected by every employer in my field) is that one can only generate useful text with one if your inputs are like messages addressing a person. It requires a debasing one-person roleplay session, geeze
