Norwegian uses "troll" for things that aren't actual trolls, e.g.: • korstroll/krosstroll 'starfish' (lit. cross troll) • rumpetroll 'tadpole' (lit. butt troll) • skrukketroll 'woodlouse' (lit. crease/crack troll) • trappetroll 'slinky' (lit. stair troll) #linguistics
So Norwegian (nynorsk) has the following as different words: for fór fòr fôr ... and of course "før", although that is a different grapheme–phoneme mapping altogether.
